Lets talk about bloating!
Bloating can be caused for a number of reasons. I am not an expert on the subject but working with lots of clients over the years I have identified some common reasons people tend to get bloating.
One of the first things I will look at is whether or not the person is getting enough fibre in their diet. If this is ok and they are drinking enough water I will get them to start eliminating high FODMAP foods.
To keep this post brief I would encourage you to go and read up on the FODMAP for more information if you are suffering from unexplained bloating. Essentially they are small carbohydrates that some people can’t digest. These carbohydrates can be found in a variety of foods.
My advice to anyone suffering from bloating is to look at the FODMAP diet to see which foods that are considered as high and start eliminating them from your diet one at a time.
