So you went besatmode last night on legs and today you can’t walk. First of all well done! But if we get serious for a second should we be training again when we are still sore?
I think in these situations it’s best to use your own judgement. If you have to hold on to the sides of the walls as you lower yourself onto the toilet seat then I’d say you probably shouldn’t train your legs again until they are better. However if you feel a little discomfort in your legs personally I’d do some warm up sets, see how they feel and decide based on that. Sometimes I find as I warm up and get blood into the area I feel ok to train.
From personal experience I find if I try and train when I’m a little too sore both my strength and technique suffer as a result. I know when I’m too sore but usually I’m either strapped for time in terms of fitting all my workouts in for the week (I don’t like missing workouts), or I’m being too stubborn to leave it for that day. Sometimes the ego must be dropped and you need to admit defeat. Only sometimes. Very rare occasions!
