Where do you get your protein from? Do you find yourself getting protein from the same sources? I know some of my clients do. Here’s something a client shared with me:
“For protein I tend to turn to meat and eggs, topping up my intake with a protein shake of some sort. I am trying to make a conscious effort to mix up my week, so I plan to include fish into my diet once a week. I’m not going to lie, I am not a massive fan of fish. It’s not my go to meal and I don’t enjoy it as much as red meat.
I’m not going to eat something I hate (for me that’s salmon), so I will only eat cod. Cod is going to change up my meal plans, it’s a low fat high protein source and I’m eating something I still like - once I’ve put a twist on it! I’ll make a low calorie sauce. I use some low fat Philadelphia, a blue cheese laughing cow light and a little semi skimmed milk. Add some herbs and bang!! I’ve got a tasty sauce to go with the cod.”
