When it comes to gaining strength the importance of a good programme cannot be undervalued. At some point in your strength journey you can’t just go into the gym and lift more. It doesn’t work, trust me I’ve tried it.
You will need to follow some kind of programme designed to get you from where you are to the next stage. At the very least you should have a plan of how you intend to get there. I talk to a lot of people about their training. Most, if not all of the time, these people who struggle to make strength progress are the same ones that don’t have a programme. To me that’s like me asking you to meet me somewhere you have never heard of without any directions. You know where you want to go but how are you going to get there without planning your route first? I assume you won’t just jump in the car and hope you get there.
Of course you can still make progress without a programme. However as you get stronger your progress slows down anyway so having a programme designed to help you to maximise your progress can only be beneficial. I would also like to stress just having a good programme will only get you so far if you have poor technique.
On that note don't forget Top Performance offers tailored programming options to help you improve technique, gain muscle, gain strength and drop body fat.
